April is National Public Health Month, and April 7-13, 2014, is National Public Health Week. The South Carolina Public Health Association will be hosting its annual Public Health Month Celebration on April 2nd! This year's theme is "Public Health Professionals, Practice What You Preach"!

As we, the South Carolina Public Health Association, get closer to our Public Health Month Celebration on April 2nd, it’s time to turn up the volume and tell us how YOU practice what YOU preach! with our photo voice project!

All you have to do is download the #SCPHM2014 form attached, print it, write your name and write the county in which you reside, your public health discipline/content area, tell us how you practice what you preach and take a picture! Our goal is to get 100+ pictures from across the state!!! You don't have to be a member of the association to participate!!

You can upload your photo to Instagram or Facebook  – shoot, any platform you want! – and share it for other public health professionals to see. Be sure to tag us on Instagram (@Snapscpha) and  Facebook (South Carolina Public Health Association)...and use the #SCPHM2014 hashtag so we can see you!

Show your friends, family and other South Carolina public health professionals how you practice what you preach!

Don't use Instagram or Facebook? No problem, follow the same instructions to download the attached form and send your photo to

There's more.....the slideshow of the tagged photos will be shown at the Public Health Month Celebration on April 2nd, so make plans to attend so you can see your face among others who practice what they preach!!!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at

We can’t wait to celebrate Public Health Month and Week, and we definitely can’t wait to see your photos.
