This year's theme was "Synergies of Space and Place: Advancing Public Health Through Non-traditional Partnerships.” We had almost 400 attendees join us for the week for speakers, workshops, poster presentations, exhibitors, and social activities. Download the pictures from the conference via the links below. Continuing Education

This annual professional development and training program is approved for 1.4 CEU's (14.5 clock hours) of continuing education by Mid-Carolina AHEC, Inc. and meets the SC AHEC Continuing Education Best Practices Standards. Participants must attend 90% of the program to receive a certificate of attendance. No partial credit will be given.   • Nursing: Mid-Carolina AHEC, Inc. is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This nursing continuing education activity approval #2110-022PR-437 has been approved for 3.75 hours for 3/25 (Pre-Con); #2110-022PR-439 has been approved for 4.25 hours for 3/26; #2110-022PR-440 has been approved for 4.25 hours for 3/27; and #2110-022PR-441 has been approved for 2.25 hours for 3/28.
  • Health Education: Through the South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control (SC DHEC), an approved provider of continuing education credits by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc., the conference is approved for 14.25 entry-level and 14.25 advanced-level CHES/MCHES Category I CECHs.
  • Prevention Counselors: Certified Prevention Specialists can apply to the SC Association of Prevention Professionals and Advocates (SCAPPA) for credentialing hours.
  • Social Work: Through the South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control (SC DHEC)- Office of Public Health Social Work, the conference has been approved for 6.5 Social Work CEU's and 11.5 General CEU's. Social Work contact and general contact hours were approved by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • Nutrition: The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) recognizes live activity accredited by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). CDR credentialed practitioners attending the conference can document up to 14.5 CPEUs under activity type 170: live lecture/seminar. Practitioners must maintain the certificate of completion with the name of the event, date of the event, total time of the event, provider name, and provider contact in their file, and document the event in the Professional Development Portfolio (PDP).
  • Environmental Health Specialists: The conference has been approved for 14 contact hours of continuing education through the National Environmental Health Association.
  • Community Health Workers (CHWs): Community Health Workers can apply to the SC Community Health Workers Association for credentialing hours.
